Central Michigan University, nationally prominent in distance education programs, is seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic executive who will take existing and excellent programs to new heights. The Vice President/Executive Director - ProfEd (Off-Campus Programs) for CMU oversees a $35 million budget and 60 locations in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada and is responsible for the continued growth and quality of CMU's distance learning programs. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for those who have the experience to lead a large, complex organization in either an academic or business environment, and who thrive on the challenge of dealing with constant innovation in a dynamic market.
This is a senior level position responsible for the leadership of CMU's off-campus programs which includes full financial responsibility and accountability, development, enrollment growth, and portfolio management for off-campus and online academic program offerings. A professional with entrepreneurial vision, in-depth experience, proven success, and the ability to profitably administer a $35M budget and dynamically lead a complex organization with multiple locations is critical to the success of CMU's educational mission. CMU's Off-Campus Programs division is one of the first and largest of its kind at a public university in the U.S. For more than 30 years the university has been offering off-campus programs, making CMU one of the first universities to recognize the needs of adult learners.
