We currently require a training specialist to join our training services group. This competition is open to current SMART employees and American citizens that reside in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina or South Carolina.

You will be responsible for clearly demonstrating the features and functions of SMART’s hardware and software products, communicating product benefits relevant to the target audience, and helping customers understand when, where and how they will use our products. You will identify and explain additional products that may benefit the customer. You will also be responsible for planning and coordinating training sessions and events, and delivering live or online training sessions. 

 

Responsibilities include the following:

 Ability to deliver training to SMART’s customers, resellers, distributors and teachers, and to clearly explain and demonstrate the functions of SMART productsApply appropriate delivery mechanism to learner needs (self-paced, instructor-led, or Web-based training methods)Provide feedback in the creation of training materials, including student manualsProvide ongoing input into improving curriculum development processesPerform other special projects and tasks as required

 

You have strong organizational skills and are cost conscious and detail oriented. You can multitask and have a great attitude and work ethic. You enjoy dealing with a variety of people and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You have a post-secondary degree in education with a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. Experience teaching on SMART products is an asset. The ability to read and speak another language (Spanish preferred) is also an asset.

 

You must be a U.S. resident and have no impediments to traveling to Canada. It is anticipated that, as the training specialist, you will be traveling about 75 percent of the time, including some weekend travel. You will travel frequently within North America by air and occasionally by vehicle to customer locations, so you must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
