Residential Supports Supervisor

THE LEARNING TREE, INC. is currently interviewing for the position of Residential Supports Supervisor (RSS) for its program in Jacksonville, AL.

 

The Learning Tree, Inc. is a private non-profit residential program for students with measured IQ and Adaptive Behavior Rating of below 70 who engage in challenging behaviors, including AGGRESSION and SELF INJURY.  With three schools in Alabama, The Learning Tree, Inc. is the leader in Alabama in the application of the principles of APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS as a methodology incorporated into its instructional process, to teach adaptive pro-social skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related field; two years experience with individuals with behavioral, cognitive, or emotional challenges.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Working under the supervision of the Supervisor of Residential Services (SRS), the RSS position includes:  supervision of four group homes (12 students) and their staff (8-10), ensures proper administration of medications, assists SRS with scheduling of staff hours, oversees and participates in crisis intervention procedures, ensures adequate lesson plans are completed and followed by Lead Residential Trainers (LRT) in each home; ensures all service plans and behavior support plans are implemented; ensures students are engaged in meaningful activity; ensures cleanliness of homes; ensures documentation of service delivery; participates in staff meetings; completion of quarterly reports; helps train new staff; ensures proper data collection; and assists in staff training.

 

SALARY & BENEFITS:  The starting salary is $35,000, negotiable with experience.  The 12 month position is granted 32 Annual Leave days per year.  Health insurance is available thru Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and the school pays $177 monthly on the individual's premium.
