This fulltime contractor position will be responsible for the development of educationally appropriate content for a digital mathematics product.

Working with subject matter experts in K-6 Math, the contractor will assist in the development of topic and lesson level content and in the overall student experience and will ensure th epedagogical integrity of the content and assessments as they are developed in conjunction with other team members.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-- Developing templates and presentation formats for effective instructional presentation of guided practice and independent practice components, practice items and assessments items, as well as print materials and other topic and lesson components.
-- Working with subject matter experts and helping to develop the associated taxonomy for learning objectives and correlation of digital path items to the print version.
-- Developing QA style guides and editorial standards.
-- Oversee content developers and reviewing final content to ensure consistency and adherence to style guides and standards.
-- Accumulating required knowledge necessary to assist in the development of teacher and student user guides that accompany the digital path product.
-- Tracking progress on all assigned tasks and updating manager as required.

-- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design and/or curriculum development. Mathematical background strongly preferred.
-- Five to eight years experience in the creation of online instructional software utilizing common standards for interactivity, engagement and assessment, especially for K-6.
-- Good knowledge of online development methodologies, including learning content management systems, presentation formats (including HTML and Flash), and the constraints of self-instruction based web presentation.
-- Excellent communication and requirements gathering skills working in collaboration with subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
