Clinical Educator - Med/Surg Ortho

Overview : Clinical Educator Full time, primarily day position. Hours are variable, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities :

Facilitate the education of employees to include; staff orientation, assessment of competence, assessment of continuing education needs, preceptor support, and development of programs to assist in professional growth.

Qualifications :

3-5 years in med surg clinical areas with a clinical focus on orthopedic and medical surgical. BSN required; Masters preferred. Basic EKG, ACLS and CPR Certification and Experience Required. Formal and informal knowledge of AV equipment.

* Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of recent hospital experience in specialty area and a working knowledge of ancillary and support departments responsibilities.
* This position requires strong organizational, communication, group interaction and educational skills. Experience with process improvement preferred.
* Must be an RN with current hospital experience. Bachelor's degree in education or health-related field required. Masters preferred.
