Academic Specialist/Course Designer

Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS), a school of A. T. Still University of Health Sciences (ATSU), seeks applications for the position of Academic Specialist/Course Designer.  The Academic Specialist/Course Designer will assist in the development and production of curriculum materials for assigned courses of ASHS programs, coordinate the use of course online learning technology used in class with the course instructor and content delivery vendors, and work with the  Dean or his designee to implement training of distance faculty members, etc.  The Academic Specialist/Course Designer is required to have strong technical and project management experience supporting faculty, sufficient to allow for performance as the single academic support person, bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in relevant field, one year Distance Curriculum Design and evaluation experience, excellent communication, investigation and listening skills.

 

ASHS is one of several schools of ATSU that also includes the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (founded in 1892), School of Health Management and the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.  Established in 1995, ASHS is located in the city of Mesa within the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.  Thirty-seven full-time faculty teach within residential and distance education programs in six health care disciplines.  Master of Science degrees are offered in medical informatics, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, and sports health care.  Professional doctorates are offered in audiology and physical therapy.  ASHS is committed to educating and preparing students to practice at the forefront of a dynamic health care system and integrates technology into many aspects of the curricula.
