Supervisor of Safety & Sanitation
Roundy's Supermarkets Inc., one of the nation's premier food retail companies, is looking for a Supervisor of Safety & Sanitation to be located at our Commissary in Kenosha, Wis. Roundy’s recently built a $22 million Food processing plant to produce items such as signature sausage, cheese, ice cream, orange juice, deli and bakery offerings, bottled water, premium ice, prepared foods and salads for Roundy’s food stores and wholesale customers. Company-owned and operated supermarkets include Pick ‘n Save stores and Copps Food Centers in Wisconsin and Rainbow Foods in Minnesota.
Responsibilities include: Developing and administering risk management programs to include OSHA, EPA and local emergency planning. Will provides OSHA and general safety training to employees and contractors regarding PSM, RPM and ammonia concerns and operations as well as lockout/tagout procedures and chemical hazards. Supervises and administers all chemical related programs, including chemical hazard communication programs, assessment of required personal protective equipment and maintenance list of all chemicals in the facility. Will supervise the Industrial Truck program, fire prevention, ergonomics and perform job hazard analysis.
Requirements include: BS Degree in safety or equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience. Must have knowledge of OSHA written programs, HAACP, ammonia refrigeration and Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Access and Word. Prefer food manufacturing experience.
