A fast growing consumer products company selling to all channels of sales..  Our customers are the largest in each channel and we manufacture as well as import products. 

 

Overview of Responsibilities and Scope

 

·  The Product Manager will be responsible for the development of products and programs designed to increase brand awareness, sales and profits of the company.  The PM will work closely with sales to develop promotional programs, POP, advertising, and packaging to meet the needs of the marketplace. The PM will also be responsible for product development as well as product improvement. Emphasis is on seasonal indoor and outdoor products with a large portion of communications with the Far East. 

 

·  The Product Manager will be responsible for meeting corporate marketing goals and for maintaining “best of class” marketing programs, product development and introductions, and building brand awareness through packaging, promotions and training.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

·  Development of new products with goal of having 20% of sales come from new products each year.  This is done through continuous communications with our Far East subsidiary

  Assist in key account meeting preparation and presentation, including market information, retail surveys, and product samples as needed.

·  Continuously evaluate current products Design total packaging concept for company

·  Create merchandising program that will enhance sales to both the retailer and the end user

·  Work with sales to create successful sales programs

·  Packaging, Promotions, Displays, Merchandising, Catalogs

·  Build brand awareness

  Target FOBs, ELC's and sell prices and suggested retail prices

  Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, both domestic and internationally

 

Requirements

 College degree or equivalent training and experience 5 or more years of related product management or marketing experience with consumer goods and stage gate processes. Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, both domestic and internationally. Experience in outdoor fashion categories Strategic thinker with strong tactical skills Supervisory experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong negotiations skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Strong analytical skills Comprehensive understanding of budget analysis and development
