Responsibilities:
• Implements and maintains partner, team and Plant Development strategies not limited to establishing expectations, responsibilities and accountabilities
• Responsible for coaching, training and development of all Plant partners; typically all non-exempt and exempt partners with direct reporting relationship
• Uses appropriate resources to assess critical situations and lead team to appropriate action; provides periodic updates to Directors
• Leads effort to ensure that Plant(s) isare in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines and governance
• Creates communication strategy to share tactical and strategic plans/initiatives with Partners with cross-functional impact across the Plant. Create a culture to elicit Partner support/ commitment to Plant initiatives.
• Periodically reviews performance exceptions and improvement to ensure alignment to strategic goals.
• Conducts education and training needs assessment and gap analysis for all positions in the plant
• Develops Master Education and Training plan and provides training resources
• Creates the Plant's Safety Expectation and monitors results
• Maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, and resources
• Defines hiring criteria and authorizes staffing requisitions
• Routinely offer performance feedback and administer HEB Performance Management Appraisal as required
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years related industry experience within bakery
• High performance Work Team Experience
• Expert knowledge and compliance in related areas: Industry, EEOC and Employment Laws
• Advanced multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required
• Advanced Communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
• Advanced analytical and persuasive speaking skills
• Advanced proficiency operating software systems such as MS Office Suite (spreadsheets, charts, graphs, etc)
• Excellent budgetary, financial and analytical skills
• Excellent knowledge of financial reports in one functional area
• Experience with process improvement initiatives within one department/plant
• Ability to work flexible schedules (nights, weekends, and holidays)
