Inspector 1, Quality Assurance

 

Leiner Health Products, America’s largest store brand manufacturer of vitamins, minerals, supplements (VMS) and diet aids and leading producer of store brand over the counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals, is searching for an exceptional Inspector for Quality Assurance.

 

Position Overview:

Performs independent inspection functions of raw materials, components, in-process materials, production records, and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications, and performs material handling functions to comply with SOPs and cGMPs.

 

Responsibilities:Performs sampling, inspection and documentation review activities as required.Assist management in conducting formal procedural inquiries and investigations to determine the cause of quality problems, and recommends verbal and/or written corrective action to management as required.Interacts effectively with coworkers, management and vendors in order to resolve problems.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.  Zero to two years quality assurance, quality control or related industry experience required.Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, organizational skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and basic knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally.  Ability to work effectively in an office, laboratory, warehouse, and packaging environment.
