Brand Manager - Global

Reporting to the VP, Brand Management, DIC's Brand Managers oversee all strategic direction relating to each of our core brands. They lead the development of the brand strategy and work with each division within the company to execute all activities related to assigned brands. Company divisions include global television, home entertainment, licensed consumer products, marketing, new media, music, creative development, production, finance and legal. In addition, Brand Managers work with creative development, marketing, and PR to develop and execute communication materials, including key art and packaging, TV/print/online advertising, web site creation, trailers, promotional materials, copy and ancillary creative materials.
This position entails working with a variety of internal and external cross-functional groups (product development, creative agencies, third-party rights owners, media agencies and marketing partners) to coordinate brand-related activities and maximize the sales potential of each brand. The Brand Manager is responsible for chairing individual monthly brand status meetings, which review all areas of the business and provide regular updates to senior management and third-party property owners. In addition to the skill to perform the above, our ideal candidate must possess demonstrated ability to foster in-house teamwork across departments to bring projects in on time and on budget.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop the global brand strategy for our front-line properties across a range of divisions, including television, home entertainment, licensed consumer products, new media and marketing.
- Manage the integrated strategy by working with each division head from conception through execution. This includes collection, consolidation, analysis and presentation of all relevant materials.
- Work with third-party rights owners to ensure all components of the programs and strategy meet our partners' goals.
- Taking a top-down approach, manage the development of strategic direction with all related divisions to maintain and protect the integrity of the brand and to own the brand.
- Research, evaluate and set direction for brands. This includes developing creative briefs and presentations and working closely with production design to ensure compliance and direction of design parameters of the brand within that category.
- Collaborate with divisions to implement and expand on developed marketing processes.
- Ensure all product offerings and sales/marketing material are consistent with the brand strategy's remaining innovative and on target.
- Continuously review strategy after roll-out to ensure that quality, consistency and adherence to the brand are maintained.
- Maintain ownership of the brand, and oversee the P&L for the brand.

Job Requirements:
- 5 plus years of licensed consumer product sales at an entertainment/manufacturing organization in the area of branded entertainment.
- Knowledge to recognize key elements that are specific to each brand and ability to work with multiple brands.
- Skill to collaborate with division heads across the company, leading managers from our licensees and third-party rights owners.
- Proven success as an innovative, strategic thinker having excellent people, brand-building and direct marketing skills.
- Strong analytic skills, including ability to obtain relevant information and present it in concise, clear presentations for different audiences.
- Self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven focus plus a commitment to the consumer experience.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Skill to create and manage a brand P&L.
