Job Description: Project Program Manger for Meditech Applications
Perot Systems Corporation has an opening for a Project Program Manager to join our Meditech Leveraged Team.
This position may be virtual or home based anywhere in the Western United States. Up to 75% travel may be required.
Job Responsibilities
Creation of implementation project plans to include design, system build, hardware procurement and deployment, interface development, training plans, testing plans, parallel runs, and go-live planning
Facilitate a strategic vision for Meditech implementations and communicate that vision to key stakeholders and project team members
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors, project teams, account teams, and other key stakeholders
Perform analysis and documentation of current state workflow and future state workflow
Partner with Meditech, client leadership, and leveraged team members to coordinate tasks, merge project plans, escalate issues, and drive towards a common goal
Coordinate the scheduling of resources from various clinical, financial and administrative departments
Collaborate with application and project teams to ensure system functionality and stability
Ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and that the appropriate resources are allocated to complete all tasks
Review and update project plans on a regular basis and communicate status reports to appropriate team members and leadership
Maintain regular communications regarding project issues, risks, and needs with client, vendor, and Perot leadership and team members
Project management of major projects, including implementations and migrations
Test plan development and testing, including acceptance, unit, integration, and parallel testing
Required Skills
A minimum of 5 years Meditech implementation, upgrade, and testing experience with multiple Meditech clinical, financial, or administrative applications
A minimum of 2 years implementation and migration project and program management experience for multi hospital health systems or integrated delivery networks
Hospital operations experience
Experience applying BPE and or BPR techniques in the hospital environment
Ability to travel up to 75 percent as required by the specific demands of each project
Excellent client relationship skills
Desired Skills
Experience working with both the Meditech Magic and client server platforms
Formal project management training
Prior experience with care plan and rules development, dictionary analysis and development, and parameter analysis and configuration
Prior experience with dictionary conversions, custom queries, screens and forms to support proposed work processes
Minimum Certifications or Professional Credentials
PMI PMP certification
