Opportunity at the Reagan Test Site (RTS) located in the exotic and tropical island of Kwajalein in the Republic of Marshall Islands. Reagan Test Site (RTS) complex includes a variety of radar, telemetry, and other instrumentation and communication systems.
This location is a beautiful, tropical setting in the central Pacific that offers year-round water sports and many other recreational activities. Kwajalein is similar to most American communities with schools, hospital, stores and all public works. Crime is virtually non-existent and so is traffic, private automobiles are not authorized and bicycles are the primary mode of transportation.

Welder IV (Full Time/ Unaccompanied)
Responsibilities: Performs duties of a journeyman welder under limited supervision. Utilizes blueprints, technical manuals, and drawings. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and be able to supervise electrician helpers as needed. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Advanced knowledge of welding tools and procedures are required. Knowledge of geometry, weld shrinkage, welding techniques, and physical properties of metal. Specific Responsibilities include: application of appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. Work from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders. Lays out and marks points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe, or templates. Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced welders. May serve as a team leader. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Participate in special projects as required. Works under the supervision of the Metal Shop supervisor or shop lead with the authority to accomplish the duties described in accordance with corporate procedures, standard operating procedures, and applicable Army regulatory requirements. Work is performed in both a shop setting and outside on various type of job/construction sites. Perform other duties as required.
Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent plus minimum of five years experience as a journeyman welder and a valid state driver’s license. Prefer completion of an apprentice training program and/or journeyman/ master licensure - certifications. Related specialty courses or related training a plus.
