 Job Summary

This position will be in the Boiler & Power Group reporting to the Boiler Group Manager, Estimating & Scheduling. Duties of this position include assisting the Boiler Group management team with execution of projects, estimating project cost, attending site visits and bid proposal meetings, preparing proposals that comply with client requests, supporting project execution by relinquishing rental equipment, tools and personnel, reviewing purchase orders and bringing any problems to the attention of the Controls Manager, establishing project cost accounts on a consistent basis, expediting purchase orders for subcontracts materials, managing late invoices from subcontractors and suppliers, tracking final costs for history reports, and assisting with project close-out and final billing.

 

Job Specifications

Minimum of 1-3 years experience of scheduling concepts with Primavera and MSProjects software preferred. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point required. Working knowledge of computer-aided projects (such as J.D. Edwards) is a plus. Knowledge of power and recovery boiler components; ability to manage multiple projects for clients and components of project execution for short duration, and high-profile boiler outage projects are a plus. Experience reading, understanding, and executing contracts, various billing structures, management of direct and indirect resources, cost control, and forecasting experience preferred. Minimum of BSME degree or other engineering degree preferred. Combination of education and work experience may be accepted in lieu of a college degree. 

 

We will consider a recent college graduate with a minimum BSME or BSEE degree and a strong mechanical background.
