Project Control Specialist serves as a senior technical and team leader for critical project control functions and requires a broad technical knowledge of project controls. This individual will be responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of project schedules and cost performance data for light rail projects and provide direction to staff assigned to administer contracts, progress payments and change orders. They will also prepare cost and schedule analysis reports for projects, direct and administer assigned consultant staff regarding detailed project control functions, perform essential project management activities for assigned projects, including management of scope, quality, schedule, costs, risk, personnel, consultants/contractors, contracts, and communication.

Qualifications: Experience in cost control database programs required including establishing control baselines and maintaining system with actual/commitment data and preparing project forecasts. Must be computer literate with excellent skills in Primavera scheduling software, Expedition and possess an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Desirable qualifications include team leadership qualities and excellent oral and written communication skills. B.S. or B.A. degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field is desired and 5 years of experience in project control/financial reporting/contract administration
