Job Requirements and Description

 

This is a Team ITSS Position with Jacobs. The candidate must have 8 years relevant experience, OR 6 years and an Associates Degree in a Technical Discipline, OR 4 years and a Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline, OR 2 years and a Masters Degree in a Technical Discipline.

 

Other Duties:

 

Perform automatic identification technology (AIT) network engineering site surveys and integration within the Army Materiel Command (AMC). Wide range of knowledge in all areas of AIT, item unique identification (IUID), and network engineering.  Fundamental understanding of AIT and other modernization for materials management. Provide site survey and AIT hardware and software acquisition, installation, test, and training services. In-depth knowledge of LAN and WAN, automated information systems to include internal and external interfaces among existing systems and spectrum management.  Design and plan LAN and WAN communications systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for current and future network architecture. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.  Design, plan, install, and test AIT networks within Department of Defense information assurance guidelines.  Participate in meetings with AMC industrial base personnel and determine the various business processes to be enabled by AIT.  Develop site survey reports to include narratives, charts, and graphics.  Develop and maintain hardware and software receipt, storage, and issue concepts, documentation, and accountability. Develop and maintain hardware and software accountability documentation to include DD Form 250.
