SENIOR STORAGE ENGINEER SAN

The Sr. Storage Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining SAN storage devices at Homestore Data Centers. The SE must have 3+ years of experience in storage management and a successful track record for implementation of SAN and NAS storage devices.  The Storage Engineer should be familiar with MS SQL and SQL Clustering and have working experience in movement of such environment from direct attached storage to SAN hardware.  Working knowledge of EMC Clariion and Symmetric product lines such as EMC 5600, CX600 or DMX2000 is required for this position.  The SE must be intimately familiar with Volume Management and Replication software products such as Navisphere Manager and Analyzer as well as SNAP View and Power Path utilities.  Working knowledge of SRDF implementation is a plus.  In addition, the SE must be familiar with Dell hardware and monitoring tools such as Dell Open Manage, Concord, HP Openview, CA Unicenter, BMC Patrol and NETIQ. Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation is required for this position. Must have a positive attitude, ambitious, energetic, and self-motivated.  Excellent verbal and communication skills is a must.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

*Primary contact 24/7 for all system wide issues involving the
storage environment.
*Work with Engineering and Operational staff to allocate storage as
necessary.
*Document release and build process.
*Work with department Managers and general IT staff to analyze and
resolve problems associated with technical issues.
*Ensuring company policies and standards are adhered to.
*Work with vendors and business units to design, evaluate and
deploy new storage systems.
*Create and maintain all documentation.
*Report performance levels of establish SLA's for all applications.
*Report storage utilization and consumption including historical
trending.
