Part Time Network Technician

Calence is currently looking for a part-time candidate to fill a position in the Managed Services Network Operations Center.  The successful candidate will cover 2-3 shifts per week and will be expected to work at least one weekend night each week. Total hours worked per week will be 20 to 30 hours. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as be able to "think on your feet."  A technical background and a strong drive to learn are also essential.

Primary responsibilities will include the initial level of support for Managed Services clients.  High level responsibilities will include performing initial troubleshooting for network issues, communicating issues and updates to network carriers and clients, escalating issues internally, and generating/reviewing weekly & monthly network performance reports. Additional requirements will include possible night work as well as some holiday’s shifts.

 

Candidates should have a combination of technical experience and education and/or call center/customer service experience.  A CCNA is preferred.
