Field Service Technician

BancTec, a leading provider of technology solutions worldwide, currently has an immediate opening for a 3890 Field Service Technician in the Los Angeles area.

For more than 30 years BancTec has been a leader in the payment and document processing industry, with a long-term commitment to the 3890 maintenance business.  As a result of winning several recent contracts, our Americas service organization is experiencing significant growth and we are actively seeking seasoned Field Service Technician with experience maintaining IBM 3890s high speed check sorters, or BancTec, Unisys or NCR check/ document processing equipment.

 

Responsibilities include providing quality onsite maintenance services on 3890 sorters at high volume check processing centers in the Los Angeles area.

 

The ideal candidate possesses:

 

-  A two- year degree, technical degree or equivalent work experience

-  Two or more years of experience maintaining electro-mechanical equipment

-  in the check processing/document processing industry

-  Solid customer relations skills

-  Strong written and verbal communication skills

-  Excellent “team oriented” attitude

-  A strong understanding of AC/DC theory

-  Proficiency using O-Scope, Multi-Meter and general electronic test equipment

-  The ability to work any shift
