Computer hardware repair & maintenance technician part-time

OUR POSITION:


Are you A+ certified and interested in some extra money to supplement your regular paycheck? Do you have a new computer or office equipment business you are trying to get established? Are you a small business looking for more work?

As an Auxiliary Field Technician (AFT), you will be employed on a PART-TIME, ON-CALL, AS-NEEDED basis repairing and installing computers, printers and other computer related equipment at our customer's offices in your local area. You MUST be available during regular business hours, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., to provide service to our customers within 8-hours/next-business day of being called. You will be paid a generous hourly rate for the work, covering administrative time, travel time, and mileage.  THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION.

The hours worked per week will vary, averaging 10 hours per week, and may be sporadic. AFTs help start-up new projects, assist full-time employees and other AFTs with large call volume, and service smaller customers with limited call volume.

It is crucial that you be dependable and dedicated to this type of work.

We are looking for candidates with:
**At least one year field service experience
**At least one year experience in maintenance and repair of office equipment from IBM, HP, Epson, OKI, Compaq, Lexmark, PC’s and Printers etc.
**Above average communication skills
**Professional manner and telephone etiquette
**A+ certification is required within 90 days of employment
**At least one year HP PC/Printer certification is preferred, training for this and other certifications (if necessary) will be provided
**At least one year networking experience is preferred

**Some locations require HP (Compaq) and Dell server experience and OEM certification
