Technical Support Specialist: Identification Systems - Milwaukee, WI
HellermannTyton is a global manufacturer of cable management solutions including injection molded and extruded products, connectivity hardware, and identification systems with its North American headquarters located in Milwaukee, WI. This individual is responsible for developing vendor partnerships, purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
Core Responsibilities
Take customer calls to provide support and solutions for a proprietary software and thermal transfer label printing systems
Maintain inventories and ensure literature is updated as well as hardware, firmware and software
Ensure smooth transition of customer repairs and backup units on a timely basis
Provide support to develop and launch new products based on projects assigned by the Marketing Manager, ID Systems
Beta testing new ideas as well as developing marketing materials and training sales managers
Maintain and update the technical support website
This position entails approximately 60% of customer telephone support, is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is not eligible for relocation assistance. Requirements for this position include:
Associate's degree required, with a Bachelors degree preferred from an accredited college or university
Ability to troubleshoot problems over the phone and provide solutions
Knowledge of Windows 3.1, 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Excel, Act, and Word
Candidates should be detail orientated, have excellent communication and organization skills along with the ability to multi-task.
