Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Mapping business processes and business needs into software solutions.

· Interviewing customers and assessing their business needs and priorities. 

· Gathering requirements and writing specifications to build software applications for a varied customer base. 

· Implementing software applications utilizing different database and web technologies. 

· Testing and deploying applications in a multi user environment.

· Maintaining and supporting existing applications.

· Report progress and status of projects to customers and management.

 

 Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

· A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.2 - 3 years of programming experience in Microsoft Visual Studio .Net and Microsoft SQL Server.Visual Studio .Net programming knowledge.  Visual Basic .Net as well as Asp.Net will be heavily used. SQL development using MS SQL Server.Working knowledge of database design theories.Well versed in Web technologies.Well versed in website management techniques and duties.Specialized knowledge (preferred but not required):  PhotoShop Creative Suite and/or Fireworks including in-depth knowledge of web design/development standards and best practicesDreamweaver and/or Front Page or any WYSIWYG type editing and publishing tool.Flash MX and streaming video knowledge.HTML, CSS, DHTML and javascript knowledgeCrystal ReportsProfessional Skills:Analytical ability sufficient to understand user requirements and assist in translating them into technical termsAbility to understand business processes, analyze them and re-engineer them in some cases.  Experience in translating user interface requirements into design decisions Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.Strong customer service skills.Intermediate/fluent in English both written and verbalMust be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
