BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MGR
Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager located at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This position reports to the Director, New Business Development. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of new business opportunities to help meet the Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (APCI)corporate growth goals. To do this, the incumbent must have a understanding of APCI skills and capabilities and be able to apply them to new markets. The incumbent must also be able to analyze disruptive technologies and develop market/business plans to exploit them. The incumbent is also expected to work as a member of a team, occasionally leading the team, to analyze and develop business strategies and implementation plans for new ideas.
The incumbent must be creative and innovative and have no fear of failure.
The incumbent should have cross-functional experience.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Assess new business ideas for market and technical feasibility.
* Recommends new business opportunities.
* Develop strategies and business models to exploit new markets or new technologies.
* Conducts disruptive technology analyses and recommends potential investments.
* Maintains awareness of emerging markets and technologies that could impact APCI.
* Provides support and guidance to teams on new business creation and platform identification.
* Works with existing businesses and Corporate Development Office (CDO) New Businesses to understand long-term goals.
* Recommends new offerings.
* Contributes to the development of a more innovative culture at APCI.
Background/Experience:
MBA with 5-8 years experience in commercial or business development assignments.
