Maintenance Supervisor for Tacoma Window and Door Manufacturer!!
Member of the location leadership team. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the Plant operations from a maintenance perspective. Responsible for management of all plant equipment, facilities and grounds. Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise Maintenance personnel.
Purchase maintenance materials and supplies.
Manage departmental budget.
Responsible for planning work time to meet all needs of the plant.
Ability to work in adverse conditions safely and ensure safety of personnel.
Actively participate on Safety Committee.
Work with Engineering to modify existing equipment for new uses.
Fabricate new equipment, install new equipment.
Assist Plant Engineer with selection of equipment and plant layout.
Maintain and continuously improve preventative maintenance program.
Provide technical assistance to production department and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
Create and execute MPS objectives,
Meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS;
Reflect Milgard-Woodclad business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.
Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:
Supervise Maintenance personnel
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of maintenance supervision required
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
Four (4) year degree in engineering or related field preferred
Demonstrable experience may be accepted in lieu of credentials
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
Read, write and understand the English language
Working knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics
Ability to troubleshoot equipment in all of the aforementioned areas
Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to teach and generate results
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work performed both indoors and outdoors
