District Manager

Support Services of America, one of the leading janitorial companies in the U.S., has an immediate opening for a District Manager. This position will report to our National District Manager of Operations and will be responsible for the day-to-day janitorial operation in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience in a janitorial company with retail experience, is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy is a must (Word, Excel and Outlook). Able to overnight travel and must have a valid driver's license.

The following are the duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):

 Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules equipment maintenance, repairs, and tools to ensure continuous operations. Confers with customers and representatives to ensure operational efficiency and quality. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees. Supervises in-house employees and their work performance to ensure that they work within company standards. Reviews operative costs and product quality, and modifies operational and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division. Conducts quality customer reports, visits and/or inspections, when needed. Works and controls department budget and identifies areas in which reductions can be made. Oversees start-ups and new account set-ups. Prepares record keeping for payroll purposes. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. Conducts new hire interviewing, orientation, training; and disciplines and subordinates. Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures. Interacts with outsource partners to monitor their work performance. Performs other duties as assigned by the National District Manager of Operations or the Regional Vice President of Operations.
