Building Maintenance Technician

Position will be responsible for facility maintenance and repair activities including, but not limited to:

 
General building and grounds maintenance services.
Identifying and correcting safety hazards and potential unsafe conditions within the building and grounds.  Working safely and maintaining a safe and accident free environment is the highest priority of this position. 
Primary contact for mechanical, electrical, and general contractors and other building equipment services and repair contractors. 
Primary contact for security guard service - emergency notification for fire alarms, security problems, etc. 
Overseeing landscaping contractor, indoor plant services, etc. 
Overseeing office services such as office cleaning, window cleaning, pest control service, tree removal, waste disposal, and elevator service. 
Responsible for ordering and inventory of maintenance supplies such as light bulbs and ballasts, ceiling tiles, floor and wall coverings, floor maintenance products, HVAC system filters, cleaners, paint and janitorial supplies. 
Responsible for inventory of chairs, desks, office partitions and related office equipment, as well as, the reconfiguration of workspaces, internal office moves, and hanging pictures. 
Remodeling projects - including scheduling and reviewing quotes and hiring contractors when appropriate. 
Responsible for monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, ladders, and other safety program monitoring as needed.

 Qualified candidate must have basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical skills and experience.  Position requires expertise level knowledge of building mechanical systems and building electrical systems.  Basic computer skills required including, MS Word, Outlook, and JDE for purchase orders.
