Medical Scientific Liaison - Phoenix/Tucson Arizona

The MSL is a field based regional position whose mission is to bridge the gap between the science of the products of Alexion and the practice of medicine. The major scope of the position is to:

* Build, develop and maintain effective professional relationships with key opinion leaders, academic centers, MCOs and the medical community.
* Provide technical/ medical information support to both internal clients and external customers.
* Conduct medical presentations to various audiences.
* Compliance of activities with all internal and external legal and regulatory guidelines.
* Project management opportunities are available and can be developed to align with the individual's areas of interest and the needs of the department.
* Office is home based. Travel within region 3-4 days per week with 1 office day per week. Required travel to medical meetings, team meetings and other group meetings (will require some weekends -possible 4 /year) Travel is estimated to be approximately 50%.

Education Requirement:
The successful candidate should have a PharmD, MD, or PhD in biological sciences with 3 years experience. The candidate should have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), energetically embrace responsibilities, have a strong personal initiative, and function well as part of a cross functional team. Oncology experience is preferred.
