Chemist

Zila, Inc., a progressive company in the oral healthcare industry, is seeking a Chemist. 

 

Responsibilities include executing analytical tests to ensure that the active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug products meet the criteria of identity, quality, purity and strength they are purported to possess, evaluating the quality of analytical data generated and adherence to procedures and practices.

 

Job duties include the following; other duties may be assigned:

 

· Run wet chemical assays per written instructions.

· Run analytical assays per applicable SOP’s.

· Review analytical data for thoroughness and accuracy

· Support the development and validation activities.

· Perform equipment maintenance when required.

· Report any deviations from procedures and normal practices to manager.

· Maintain a high level of training by attending all in-house required cGMP and method-specific training sessions.

· Attend any recommended training requested by the manager.

· Perform other duties as requested by the QA/RA Compliance Director.

 

This is a full time position with the work hours of 8am-5pm.







The ideal candidate will have the following:

 

· A minimum of two years of bench-level chemistry is required.

·Prior experience with instrumentation (e.g. HPLC, GC, TOC, pH meter, analytical balances) and wet chemistry (e.g. titration, LOD, etc) is required. 

·  Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry.
