Tool & Die Maintenance Technician

Tier 1 automotive supplier of aluminum components is currently looking for Tool & Die Maintenance Technicians with high pressure die casting experience with large machine (preferably 2,000 tons or larger).  This position is responsible for several essential functions in the Tool & Die Department, including:

 assess damage to the tooling and determine repairs as needed; set up and operate required equipment, select appropriate equipment to ensure no further damage to the tool and meeting deadlines to perform quick repairs on the machines as needed; disassemble tooling to inspect for worn or damaged components, perform needed repairs to ensure tooling and dies are in good operating order for production; follow maintenance work orders to determine what repairs are needed from production and quality; maintain log of materials and components during repairs; perform special projects and other assigned duties; use basic machinist skills to operate mills, lathes and surface grinders; assist in the training of entry level personnel.
