Responsibilities:
• This SQM Function is responsible for:

- Obtaining robust and timely 8-D supplier responses for electronic component quality issues

- Evaluating supplier product flow, process control plans and failure mode effects analysis relative to production issues

- Guiding electronic component suppliers to develop robust problem solving processes and reporting

- On-going development and improvement of electronic component suppliers during serial production
- Maintaining the rankings data for the electronic component suppliers in the Siemens worldwide databases

- Communicating supplier corrective actions internally to division quality planners

• SQM Procedures:
- Responsible for providing training to the project teams on the function of the SQM Make Market group and their corresponding role in that process
- Responsible for the timely processing of PPAP’s by the project teams
- Responsible for development and updates regarding SQM procedures
- Participate in SQM process and procedure development, locally

Objectives:
• Perform SQM Functions with component suppliers
• Promote the usage and understanding of the SiemenVDO's’ SQM Procedures with all product teams
• Develop and promote the usage of the SiemensVDO's General Quality Agreement (GQA) and APQP guidelines for component suppliers
• Continuously improve processes and procedures as they pertain to the SQM group
• Develop expertise in Process Technology in the assigned commodities
• Perform the duties as SQM Business Field Liaison as defined in the departmental work plan

 

 

General Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or closely related field or the equivalent automotive experience

Experience:
• Project and systems experience in automotive applications
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (preferred)

• Shainin problem solving certificate (preferred)

• Green Belt or Black Belt certificate (preferred)
• German/Spanish Language in addition to English (preferred)
