This opportunity exists within the Pearson School Technology(PST) Organization. PST supports the building of comprehensive solutions consisting of print and software products. PST is the central technology organization for the Pearson Education school companies and leverages the talents and emerging product development capabilities across the entire Pearson Education organization.

This temporary contractor position will be responsible for the production of interactive software, video, audio, and other content necessary for the creation of a digital mathematics product for Pearson Education in conjunction with other team members.
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conceptualizing and developing content and media components in close collaboration with Editorial, Design, Programming, and management input
- Ensuring project schedules, budgets and strategic goals for all content produced are met and that assigned projects meet Pearson Education's standards for high quality
- Maintaining relationships with outside contractors and/or vendors for assigned projects and ensuring quality of work
- Tracking progress on all assigned tasks and updating manager as required

- Bachelor's degree in media production, education, educational technology, journalism, English or related field preferred.
Must possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Media production: auditioning and casting talent; producing short-form videos; directing audio recording sessions; and selecting images from internal and external databanks
- Software production: conceptualizing and developing interactive software; documenting functional specifications; communicating design decisions to internal and external entities; interfacing with programmers
- Instructional design: designing educational materials including print, video, and software with an understanding of scope and sequence, course hierarchies, usability testing, instructional design principles, reusable learning objects, and courseware archiving
- Content creation: writing, editing, and revising original content and source content to fit script templates, functional requirements, and instructional, curricular, and editorial specifications
