Associate Web Producer – Job Description

Summary

Work with a team of artists, developers and producers to build and maintain cutting edge, state-of-the-art web pages that support, attract and retain customers.

Essential Duties

• Design, update and maintain graphical and HTML elements of the company’s current and upcoming web sites
• Work closely with the Producer to develop compelling presence for IGN’s product and community websites to attract and retain customers
• Create documentation for items such as functional requirements, style guides, etc.
• Interact on a professional level with all levels of internal customers
• Keep abreast of new and upcoming web technologies
• Reassess current web sites for usability
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of web design development software including Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and Dreamweaver
• Basic knowledge of web development including HTML, XML, CSS, ActionScript and JavaScript
• Basic knowledge of design and how it pertains to the web
• Basic knowledge of web server applications
• Experience designing and building high-end web sites
• Organization skills sufficient to prioritize and perform several projects at various stages of completion
• Ability to work under stringent deadlines
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to move with the flow of changing needs in the industry

Education and Experience

• Education or experience equivalent to a degree in computer science or other related field
• 1 year of closely related experience of web design
• Any combination of experience and training that demonstrates possession of specific job skills
