Art Team Lead

Waterford Institute, an educational software company in Salt Lake City, UT, is looking for an artist/art lead to join our team in developing innovative learning products.

 

This full-time position requires a strong understanding of designing and producing games, activities, books, and animated songs for young children. The Art Team Lead will help develop style and standards guides with other team leads and the Creative Director. Also, as they lead a team of artists through design and production, they will work closely with interaction designers, educational content designers, sound designers, programmers, and children.

 

This position requires:

·  ·  A degree in a creative visual field

·  ·  5-8 years production work experience, including managing a team of artists

·  ·  Superior breadth and depth of expertise/experience in interactive multimedia; especially skilled in illustration, animation, color, character design, storytelling, and graphic design

·  ·  Highly-developed knowledge of industry trends (games and web delivery)

·  ·  Outstanding project organization, coordination, and leadership strengths

·  ·  Excellent visual style and significant artistic sense; detail oriented

·  ·  Experience developing style guides and process standards

·  ·  Comprehensive knowledge of artistic styles, techniques, and delivery methods

·  ·  Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent critiquing skills

·  ·  Outstanding knowledge of Adobe software (Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects); knowledge of 3D software a plus

·  ·  Portfolio and demo reel/website showcasing previous work
