Art Director

Art Director Cox Auto Trader Publishing seeks an energetic, highly organized Art Director to work in the National Publications division, providing production of all art and design for a 100-page glossy editorial magazine .

Responsibilities:

Design of collateral materials including, blow-ins, bind-ins, onserts, inserts and advertisements from concept to completion
Ability to work with others in a creative environment
Additional responsibilities include working with Print Production to create schedules and estimates that meet the project delivery date and budgetary guidelines

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in advertising/design or equivalent work experience. 5 to 7 years professional experience
Knowledge of design principles, color theory and four color printing procedures
Must be proficient on a Macintosh platform in Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and problem solving techniques.
Photo database management and copy editing experience a plus
Ability to work under tight deadlines, work on multiple projects and be attentive to details
Knowledge and experience with Web site creation, software packages (GoLive or Dreamweaver) required
