We are currently seeking an Associate Field Engineer for our Customer Service Department.  The position is located in Birmingham, AL.

 

Under direct supervision, the Associate Field Engineer develops skills by performing basic hardware maintenance on assigned hardware products at customer locations. The Associate FE will participate as a team member in a Fujitsu account and will be gaining additional skills. As additional hardware maintenance skills are acquired, assignments and responsibilities will be increased and less supervision should be required.  The Associate FE will develop the ability to provide communication between Fujitsu and customers, and assist in the delivery of basic hardware services at assigned accounts.

 

This position requires that the employee be part of standby rotation, and may require shift work, weekends/holidays, and some over time.



o Prior Customer Service experience a plus.
o Completion of some technical school/training a plus.
o Knowledge in troubleshooting and diagnosing digital logic malfunctions and fixing problems.
o Ability to use test/diagnostic equipment such as a PC and digital multi-meters.
o Ability to develop effective relationships with others and communicate with account personnel  as appropriate.
o Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
o Projects a professional image.
o Working PC knowledge.
