Manager Health, Safety, Training & Deicing- T-1

Penauille Servisair a leading global aviation service company is seeking a Manager Health, Safety, Training & Deicing at its JFK International Airport location at Terminal One.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a safety culture, which supports the Company's goals and values.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Guide and Direct employees in the effective execution of duties.  Assist in problem solving. 

-Manage day to day operation of safety/training activities, ensuring all company safety polices are taught and

 enforced.

-Implement at the direction of senior management, policies and procedures in ramp operations.

-Support the General Manager of Operations to identify problems. Initiate and manage improvement across the

 operation to make the ‘Penauille Servisair’ name synonymous with Safety among all our customers.

-Assist the General Manager Operations in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and

 programs to support a safety culture across the operation.

-Assist and support the General Manager of Operations in the development, implementation, monitoring, of the terminals

 Accident Tracking system. 

-Investigate and review all accidents providing senior management with an evaluation and recommendations to prevent future

 occurrences.

-Assist and Support the General Manager of Operations in the development, implementation, monitoring, of the terminals

 Deicing program.

-Ensure effective communications and information flow across the operations.

-Serve as the Leader providing guidance and direction across the operation, to enable the delivery of safe operations.

-Direct and support the local training supervisors. 

-Perform quality assurance audits to ensure proper service levels and to evaluate employee performance.

-Establish and maintain strong, productive, and professional relationships with the Operations Manager and Duty Manager, 

 while supporting Corporate Functions and externally with Terminal One management and Customers.

-Direct functional accountability for the establishment and ongoing support of Corporate Quality, Health & Safety, and

 Training Programs.

-Assist and conduct safety and technical training including deicing, dangerous goods.

-Maintain Training records for all training.

 

Qualifications:

 



-Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements relating to Aircraft Ground Handling and/or Cargo Handling and/or

 Deicing Procedures. 

-Competency/proficiency in general Company IT technology systems (e-mail, Word, excel).

-Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. 

-Leadership and management skills required.

-Must possess a H.S Diploma or G.E.D, some college a plus.

-Five (5) years of relevant airport related experience.

-NY Driver's License Required
