- The primary function of a CSA is to load, unload and transfer baggage/cargo/mail from one place to another.
- Customer Service Agent (CSA-Ramp) provides assistance to the traveling public by ensuring the safe, secure and timely movement of baggage and cargo through the warehouse/terminal area to the aircraft.
- In addition, CSA employees marshal aircraft in and out of the terminal jet-way areas by communicating with pilots.
- CSAs will use a variety of equipment such as two-way radios, baggage transfer vehicles, forklifts, etc.
- Each position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 100 pounds repeatedly.
- The desire to work in an outdoor, physically demanding, extremely safety sensitive, deadline driven environment are essential.
- Because Continental Airlines success is measured by on-time performance of the airline, excellent attendance and punctuality are required for this position.

Required Skills:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Work any shift in a 24-hour period, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Lift 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Pass a physical (including hearing and eye exam) and drug screen.
- Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Stand, stoop, bend and crawl.
- Attend three weeks of full-time training in Houston, Newark or Cleveland and pass with a 90% on the classroom curriculum.
- A valid driver's license.
- Professional appearance.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Similar (outdoor and/or heavy lifting) experience and safety awareness or training.
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances.
