Field Manager

Schottler Farm, a 4000 acre alfalfa, soybean, and corn farm in west central Wisconsin seeks a full time resident Field Manager.  The qualified individual must be self motivated and have demonstrated skills in leadership.  The Field Manager will oversee all field operations, reporting directly to the owner.  Responsibilities include oversight of tillage, seeding, herbicide, pesticide, fertilizer, growing, irrigation, and harvest of crops, maintaining accurate and detailed records for analysis.  Harvest will primarily feed the holsteins of Schottler Dairy Farm.  Computer skills and experience in agriculture is required, in equipment maintenance a plus.  Time spent will be determined by the tides and needs of the operation.  The individual will be responsible to lead people and set a good example for talented agrcultural team.  The Field Manager is encouraged to use entreprenurial abilities to build a team and business that will be the best.  Families welcome.  Compensation will be based on experiences and abilities.
