Software Task Order Lead (TOL4)
The Senior Software Engineer Task Order Lead will design and implement technical solutions to complex information technology specific problems; lead/manage tasks whose technical complexity require constant oversight; ensure completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budgets constraints; ensure that the quality of the task deliverable meets the established standards or metrics; brief and lead process teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide front line leadership, mentorship and professional growth to the technical elements of the TSP team.
2. Lead tasks for customer product deliverables using the Westar computer based training and 3D visualization applications.
3. Estimates level of work effort and schedule for technical tasks based on experience and/or metrics.
4. Assists PM in managing project scope, timeline and budget.
5. Assists PM in staffing project efforts with appropriately skilled resources.
6. Support product testing, documentation, training, and development of training materials.
7. Assist PM in coordinating efforts across functional teams.
8. Assist PM in identifying and resolving issues.
9. Create and maintain project plans using MS Project.
10. Review project status (issues log, risks, timeline, resources) regularly with PM.
Education and Experience:
1. BS degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
2. Minimum of eight years experience in task lead, mentoring, or project management position.
Computing Skills:
1. Development Languages: C#, .NET Web Services, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, SQL, ASP.NET, XML, C++, OpenGL
2. Databases: Access
3. Applications: Microsoft Office, Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Project, Adobe Flash, AutoCAD
4. Considered a plus: Visual C++
Analytical Skills:

2. Collect and research data; utilize experience to complement data.

Security:
1. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
2. Personnel will be subject to all Security regulations, rules, and policies of the Government facility.

Work is accomplished in a moderately clean office environment with adequate environmental (heating/ cooling) control. The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment, telephones, and environmental control systems. This position is primarily accomplished in an office environment. Nominal travel may be required. There may be occasions when the Senior Software Engineer Task Order Lead will be required to travel outside the office to visit and work at customer sites including state correctional facilities.
