Quote Specialist/Project Manager

We are seeking a candidate that is looking for a challenging career opportunity and wants to make valuable and visible contributions to improve the quality, service and delivery in our Quote Services Organization!   The Quote Specialist/Project Manager will be located at our Corporate Center, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

 

Summary:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated competencies in managing competing projects, priorities and deadlines for large quote/bid packages, price reductions, and day-to-day management of RFQs, re-quotes, etc.  Excellent communication skills are required to progress on projects frequently and effectively to appropriate functional organizations and individuals such as sales and marketing, the customer, CQS team members, and supervisors.  Must have the ability to evaluate and analyze technical data packages, cost estimates and other data into specified proposal formats, and ensures that proposal data are current, complete, and accurate.  Good business acumen is also required to respond to current job cost review projects related to profitability and implements improvements or changes in the quote/re-quote process based on discussions and/or meetings.

 

Key Skills/Experience/Education:BS in engineering, business, or related technical fieldProgram management and/or prior quote experience in a technical environmentStrong electronic component knowledge Understanding of printed circuit boards (PCBs), sheet metal, and machined partsAbility to read bills of materials (BOMs)Understanding of multi-level BOMs (Box Builds/Systems)Understanding of cable and harness assemblies Ability to work as a team member/partner with all levels of the organization as well as external customers and suppliers Excellent attention to detailAbility to manage several projects/quotes concurrently while meeting tight deadlinesMust be proficient with Microsoft office suite of products, particularly Excel
