Job Summary: Coordinates product assurance procedures and ensures product compliance by utilizing a specialized combination of knowledge, skills and abilities. Working knowledge of SAE AS9100, ISO9001, 14 CFR FAR Part 145 and FAR Part 21 requirements.

 

 

Major Accountabilities:

1.  Coordinates and performs internal and external system, product and process audits.

2.  Coordinates customer inspections by complying with purchase order requirements.

3.  Manages and maintains controls over nonconforming material and associated processing.

4.  Monitors, reviews, and approves internal and external purchase orders.

5.  Monitors, reviews, and approves customer contracts and Statements of Work.

6.  Manages and maintains RCCA processes including customer requests for C/A as well as issuance and monitoring of supplier C/A. Ensuring proper implementation through employee/supplier meetings and verification of responses.

7.  Solves problems, makes policy and decisions, and troubleshoots by using good judgment and collaborating with other departments/suppliers.

8.  Prepares inspection plans for products based on customer requirements and key characteristics and features. Also, writes and recommends procedures and processes for continual improvement.

9.  Reviews and approves engineering technical documents including specifications, drawings and digital data files.

10. Monitors and measures customer and supplier performance through the use of statistical tools and database information.

11. Participates in training activities to promote LEAN principles and practices.

12. Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.

Physical Limitations: Work may require driving, lifting, pulling, and carrying up to thirty (30) pounds; frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching; sitting for up to twelve (12) hours per day; standing up to five (5) hours per day.  This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and occasional travel.

Minimum Education Required: BS in technical field or equivalent experience. AQS certifications preferred.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: Five (5) years in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience preferred.
