Quality Assurance Technician

* Extensive background in Aviation Maintenance and/or Aviation Quality Assurance
* Quality Assurance Technician with broad experience in ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100.
* Extensive background in aircraft overhaul and modification facilities
* Will be soley responsible for the initial ISO certification process
* Write and revise the policies and procedures relate to ISO
* Direct the internal and maintenance audit programs
* Facilitate all customer and regulatory audits and related communications
* Manage the supplier selection, monitoring and rating programs
* Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to apply the regulations
* Will be soley responsible for getting an FAA Repair Station Certificate
* Assist authorized representatives of the FAA in conducting inspections of the Repair Station
* Responsible for the maintenance of the Part 145 Repair Station Certificate and Quality Procedures Manual.
* Ensure all activities are accomplished within the authority of the repair station and the Federal Aviation Regulation and the the work is inspected as required
* Ensure that all necessary maintenance or inspections maintenance/inspection forms and work orders used by the repair station are properly executed by the responsible personnel
* Ensure that work performed is of the highest quality and adheres to Federal Aviations Regulations
* Ensure supplier compliance to quality through processes and procedures
* Manage failure investigations and provide assistance in resolving quality issues
* Provide quality trend analysis to identify system deficiencies
* Train and assist personnel in the proper work procedures and practices to be followed
* Ensure that the required technical data for all inspections or tasks is available
* Review all paperwork for proper completions, appropriate entries in permanent aircraft records, and that authorized signatures are used for return to Service entries
* Submit reports of defect or unairworthy conditions of the FAA
* Document all On The Job Training for subordinates
* Perform inspections as required of work in progress
* Ensure that Delegated or Quality Control Inspectors do not perform any required inspections if they performed the item of work requiring inspection
* Monitor stockroom and storage areas for segregation and preservation of parts
* Monitor segregation of serviceable parts from repairable or rejected parts
* Monitor aircraft maintenance logs to ascertain that corrective action has been taken on all irregularities listed by the pilot or by inspection of the aircraft
* Ensure proper execution of FAA forms for major repair and or alterations
* Mechanical experience in aircraft overhaul
* Structures experience performing engineering order modifications and major and minor repairs
* Line and heavy maintenance aircraft
* Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with State, Local and Federal Regulations pertaining to aviation maintenance, safety, training, environmental issues, and overall compliance with contractual obligations for the customer.
* Further duties include the supervision of the Quality Assurance Division of the Repair Station. The duties include Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin Research.
* Additional duties include the overall quality of the product delivered to the customer, resolution of issues and concerns from the customer, and acting as liaison between the customer and station level management during the resolution of the concerns from the customer.
