This is an amazing career opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager with repair and overhaul experience (FAR 145 preferred) in the Anniston, AL area to be responsible and accountable for plant leadership within this non-union global aviation company!

 

You will provide strategic direction for this 100,000 square foot repair and overhaul facility with 275 employees performing over 40,000 component repairs annually.  Components that are repaired in this state-of-the-art facility include Engine Starters & Start Valves, Flap Drives & Actuators, Air Conditioning & Heating Turbines and Valves, Thrust Reverser Components, Cabin Air Flow & Pressurization Valves, etc.  Success in this role can quickly open doors to an exceptional and advanced career path!

About The Position…

 

In this fast paced and challenging position, you will be responsible for…

 

· Providing strategic direction for all integrated supply chain activities and assisting in the development of the business STRAP.

· Developing a manufacturing strategy and driving an effective goal deployment process that aligns with STRAP.

· Ensuring that productivity and plant/product transition projects are successfully executed.

·Building consensus across multiple organizations/enterprise, working with multiple customers and  stakeholders, including DoD

· Projecting leads site transition assessment, making recommendations to senior management, leading project if approved.

· Developing and executing the AOP. Direct responsibility for departmental spend and managing budget.

· Driving site to achieve/surpass financial commitments.

· Managing inventories to achieve cash flow goals.

· Driving functional excellence within all manufacturing and materials management functions.

· Ensuring a safe work environment for employees.

· Establishing and implementing standard manufacturing and materials management practices.

· Integrating key elements of Supply Chain to improve linearity and predictability of core processes

· Managing capacity/schedules to achieve OTD and TAT.

· Ensuring that cost, quality, and delivery goals are met.

·Integrating Six Sigma/Lean tools to continuously improve process yields, reduce COPQ and drive shop floor productivity.

· Improving quality through use of VOC feedback.

· Providing customer interface and support as required.

 

To be immediately and seriously considered for this amazing opportunity, you must have the following:

 

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline

· 10 years related experience, 5 of ideally including 3-5 years progressive managerial experience

· Six Sigma Green Belt required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

· MBA

· Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification

· Experience or knowledge of the Aerospace industry

· Sound knowledge of advanced manufacturing

· Strong background in operations and quality

· Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impact business plans, operating profits, practices, policies and procedures

· Understanding of lean, integrated supply chain principles, and FAA quality requirements. Knowledge of repair and overhaul business

· Previous facility or product line transition experience

· Ability to effectively select, develop, coach, empower and motivate a staff to ensure growth in their scope of responsibility and accountability for operational excellence.

· Ability to communicate clearly with an understanding of your audience and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business

· Understanding of Repair and Overhaul business with knowledge of military markets, locations, structure and culture. 

· Widely trusted, direct, truthful and credible by showing consistency between words and actions
