Assignment Capsule
The Strategic Analytics Marketing Manager assists the organization in making strategic fact-based decisions by developing, analyzing, managing, reporting, and interpreting data from diverse sources. She/he is responsible for market analytics, database development and market tests. This individual is able to analyze data and influence others toward concrete actionable and cross-functionally coordinated directions from findings. The ideal candidate will possess drive, initiative, leadership, and the ability to cultivate and sustain a high degree of cross-functional collaboration, coordination, and communication.

Overview of responsibilities includes:


Assist marketing, and product and segment managers to understand consumer and channel information needs for the development of marketing programs.


Study social-economic trends, secondary and primary research, category sales data and product/price/promotion information to update market analyses and provide management with a consistent, meaningful view of an evolving market.


Perform geographic market analyses (county or lower) and provide opportunity assessment and tactical development recommendations. These analyses will be developed at an operationally consistent and actionable level from disparate data sources originating at different levels; requiring substantial statistical projection method skills.


Coordinate primary research on customer insights in a manner consistent with integrated database enhancement. Assist in interpretation of attitudinal, behavioral, and geo-demographic information in a manner that enhances media creative staff to develop relevant, segment specific customer communications and optimized customer contact across multiple channels.


Perform ad hoc studies as needed; using the support of internal market research resources as well as guiding in-market experiments.


Measure marketing & sales campaign effectiveness through reporting and analytical tools. Lead the development of integrated sales force automation tools.


Integrate with corporate research projects and provide leadership to assure the business segment is adequately represented.


Develop tools to allow for regular and ad-hoc analysis benchmarking programs measuring process improvement, productivity and financial progress while using technical reporting tools to develop trending and forecasting models.


Automate manual processes as directed as well as seeking out these opportunities and proactively making improvements
