Media Planner / Buyer

Our firm has a full-time opportunity in our Milwaukee office for a highly motivated individual to join our media team. Responsibilities will include general media planning and buying functions, as well as some client contact.

Specific Functions
• Assists in the development of client strategies and provides input in developing new programs and campaigns.
• Conducts research and planning and makes recommendations regarding placement of all client projects.
• Recognizes the team’s agreed upon strategies and strives to develop programs that achieve those objectives. Evaluates creative alternatives.
• Ensures value of client’s investment by proactively evaluating and monitoring execution of ongoing plans.
• Attends client meetings, when appropriate.
• Establishes appropriate media and budgets for clients.
• Communicates directly with clients regarding media decisions (keeping account services informed at all times).
• Presents and executes media plans, buys, posts, etc. in a timely fashion and within deadline.
• Facilitates all administrative functions and paperwork required to carry out media buys.
• Promptly attends to media billing and invoice audits.
• Maintains up-to-date forecasts.
• Maintains all necessary paperwork and filing in the event that another team member has to step in.
• Maintains awareness of potential new business opportunities.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the media supplier base.
• Meets established productivity standards.
• Performs other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Requirements
• Four-year degree in Marketing / Advertising / Communications.
• High written / oral presentation skill levels. Must be comfortable working with Senior-level Client management.
• Understands client’s business, products and services, in addition to the client’s corporate culture and way of doing business.
• Understands the client’s competitive set and the consumer.
• Our ideal candidate will have experience in all media vehicles, and have good writing and presentation skills. 2-4 years experience required. Word and Excel skills a must, SmartPlus knowledge a plus.
