Market Research Analyst

Due to recent growth, we are seeking a Market Research Analyst to assist the Marketing Research Manager in a variety of research activities. In this new position, you will work closely with the Marketing Research Manager to analyze banking data to help us to become more efficient and profitable.

Responsibilities: Major duties and responsibilities:

Analysis & Reporting (60%): For example:

·Consult with internal marketing partners on various research projects to determine data needs and research best practices
·Analyze large transactional data files to uncover banking behavior patterns that can be translated into operational rules to make the bank more efficient and profitable
·Participate in segmentation/clustering studies and analysis to allow the bank to better understand and target their customers
·Prepare ad-hoc reports on demographics of the banks customers and their banking habits
·Participate in surveying our customer base on a variety of banking issues

Data Extraction and Management (30%): For example:

·Perform appropriate and efficient data extractions from both relational databases and flat files
·Restructure data so that it can be analyzed with the appropriate tool (e.g., Excel, SPSS, MS Access)
·Be responsible for accurate and up-to-date knowledge of relevant data structures throughout Retail Banking
·Extract and organize demographic data from various online sites for analysis purposes

Communication/Presentation of Findings (10%): For example:

·Prepare written reports and graphics of research findings
·Effectively present findings to internal clients in layman?s terms (both verbally and in writing)



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Qualifications:
·Minimum 1-3 years experience in a research analyst role
·Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Marketing with a quantitative emphasis or other research/statistics-related field.
·Fluent in Microsoft Excel
·Knowledge of PC-based statistical software package desired (SPSS preferred)
·Working knowledge of relational databases desired (e.g., MS Access, SQL Server)
·Proficient with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
