944 Magazine – a fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle glossy with publication in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego and Phoenix currently seeks a Flash Graphic Designer. The Flash Graphic Designer is responsible for producing 944 flash presentations for promotions, advertising, proposals and internal documents. Also will work with the Graphic Design team on design and layout of publications and promotional materials.

 

Responsibilities:

 Web

 Create flash presentations for web location as assigned for promotions, advertising and other company specific needs.Utilize customer feedback and communication to conceptualize and create flash presentations.Work with Design staff to develop new design concepts for layout and flash presentations for 944 company web sites.Create quality and timely design layouts of articles, promotional materials, internal documents, and web pages.

 Print

 Combine editorial and pictorial images to generate a clean, consistent article.Check/resize images as needed to ensure print quality.Edit/resize images as needed to ensure print quality.Create illustrations or graphics as needed for editorial or promotional materialsMeet deadlines in the construction and layout of publications and sigs.Review advertisements received to ensure meet 944 standards and layout specs.Ensure consistency in overall look of 944 Magazine through effective delegation and follow up with Design staff. Review contents typography (fonts, letter spacing, etc.), pictorial imagery, and graphical elements as directed by Creative Director.Maintain organized filing system of generated files to enable staff/Designers easy accessibility.Will submit all work to Production Director for approval with verification of right of usage for any photography or pre-produced artwork.

 

Requirements:2-5 years Flash/Graphic Design experience. Previous magazine experience a plus.Associates Degree in Flash/Web design or similar field a plus.Extensive knowledge of basic graphic design programs including: Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.Complete knowledge of basic MS Office programs and use of the Internet (related to design programs)Must be able to read and write EnglishMust be able to remain in an upright sitting position for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
