Creative Department Manager

Summary:
The Creative Department Manager coordinates and manages all creative projects from inception to completion for the creative department of Alabama’s largest advertising agency.

This challenging role requires an organized person that can multi-task under tight deadlines and keep a level head to efficiently and effectively complete projects. Candidate must possess an energetic personality willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and take initiative on projects when assistance is needed.


Responsibilities
• Opens jobs in accordance to agency system and follows protocol to distribute jobs
• Manages workflow for department as a whole and individual members of creative department
• Maintains project status list with up-to-date information for television, radio, print, collateral and web projects
• Leads weekly status meeting with account service and creative departments
• Acts as liaison between account service and creative departments to maintain proper information is given to creatives and deadlines are met
• Works directly with Executive Creative Director to assign creative teams, schedule meetings and keep projects on task
• Ensure all creative projects follow agency protocol
• Works directly with Traffic Department Manager and Print Production Manager on completed projects to get files to vendors or media

Requirements
• 3+ years advertising experience
• Agency experience not required, but preferred
• Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite proficient
• Project management skills
• Web research skills
• Bachelor’s degree required
