Business Communications Manager, Global Diagnostic Imaging

CITY: Waukesha STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Support delivery of an integrated business communications plan along with Public Relations and Marketing Communications teams. This plan includes establishing common goals, objectives and operating mechanisms that result in strategic co-ordination of team's activities. This deliverable ensures consistent messaging and maximum visibility of business products and leaders, both internally and externally, with all key stakeholders.
* Partner with Public Relations and Marketing Communications to build and maintain one consolidated communications calendar which is used as the foundation to drive business messaging strategy.
* Lead development and deployment of Diagnostic Imaging's employee communications strategy, keeping alignment with GE Healthcare's overall communications strategy and global messaging.
* Develop strategic communications plans and programs which support:
-Business CEO; four GE Officers; six senior executives
-Key business initiatives like customer advocacy, Quality, new product introductions, Sales training, LEAN engineering
-Significant business actions including acquisition, integration, union negotiation and consolidation communications
-Local events such as Milwaukee Race for the Cure, Community Service Day
* Lead team in managing key business communication vehicles including townhall events, written business updates, speech writing, employee roundtables, leadership conference calls, customer testimonials, webcasts, webchats, intranet, field visits, plant visits and newsletters. Assess for effectiveness and update accordingly.
* Partner with HR to communicate administration and results of employee feedback mechanisms including GE Opinion Survey.
* Partner with GE Healthcare's Global Communications team on cross-business opportunities, development of common processes and programs
* Develop meaningful and actionable metrics
* Serve as a Crisis Communications team member.



Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field and minimum eight years communications experience OR minimum 10 years communications experience covering organizational communications, PR or marketing communications
* Strong written communication, presentation and planning skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly, tailoring communication methods to customer's requirements.
* Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver key messages effectively both verbally and in writing
* Broad experience with and knowledge of print, video and web technologies
* Working knowledge of English language (oral and written)
* Must be willing to pass a drug test
* Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background
* Must be willing to work in an office located in Waukesha, Wisconsin
* Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

General:
The Business Communications Manager for GE Healthcare Global Diagnostic Imaging reports directly to the GE Healthcare Global Communications Leader and indirectly to the GE Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging Business Leader. There are currently two Business Communicators that report into this position, based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, supporting internal communications.

It is essential the Business Communications Manager for Diagnostic Imaging build strong relationships with the Marketing Communications Manager for Services, the Global Employee Communications Leader for GE Healthcare and the Public Relations Leaders for the Americas and International. These relationships will ensure all messages are globally aligned with the strategic requirements of GE Healthcare.
