Associate Manager, Marketing and Communications

US Airways seeks a Marketing/Communications professional for its Tempe based Corporate Headquarters.  This role is responsible for defining, planning and executing the marketing plan for US Airways Vacations.

 

Primary job function:

· Write online and e-mail marketing content.

· Create advertisements for third party web sites and creates banner messages.

· Write copy for printed materials including direct mail, magazine, newspaper and brochure.

· Develop and execute marketing plans to support US Airways Vacations products, services and partners – channels include online, e-mail, direct mail, in-flight video and magazine.

· Work with US Airways Vacations product mangers to ensure that all products, properties and services are accurately represented on the web site and in print communications.

· Work with Corporate Communications department to promote US Airways Vacation through editorial channels.

· Own and write all content for USAirwaysVacations.com and related transactional and marketing e-mails.

· Develop and execute co-operative marketing campaigns to promote Vacations partners through Vacations, airline and third-party channelsmarketing activities are shared with other company employee workgroups including US Airways Vacations Call Center, Airline Reservations, Airport Services, In-flight and Internet Distribution.

Position Requirements: 
· Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field, Airline, wholesale or travel industry experience preferred.
· 5 years experience in online and print marketing and advertising including newspaper, magazines and brochures.
· 5 years experience in executing effective on line marketing campaigns including knowledge of campaign best practices and creative design stands.
· Ability to work well under pressure, handle high-volume work load, and meet deadlines and revenue growth goals.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Self-motivated and extremely well organized with the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
